The critical first step to achieving career advancement is your resume.
The sad truth is most resume advice out there and internet templates are just plain garbage. Everyone knows a resume needs to highlight your achievements in a way that effectively conveys the value you will bring to an organization, but more than that, it also needs to be structured for the recruiter’s brain. This is something that most people just do not understand.
As a resume writer and career coach for the last 20 years, I do not stagnate, rely on what simply worked in the past or follow the status quo. The construction of a resume is an ever-evolving practice and I am constantly meeting with recruiters to find out what they are looking for. I research job markets, analyze hiring trends and keep the formatting of resumes current in a quickly changing landscape where you, as someone on the job hunt, have limited experience with.
I can identify instantly why a resume is being overlooked and ignored. It often comes down to two things: Layout and language.
If you are like most people, you are making mistakes in either one or both of these categories.
Send me a copy of your current resume, and I would be happy to analyze it free, offer constructive criticism and I will show you how to avoid common failure points and how to correct them. Just send it to richardfruscione@hotmail.com
